Where to eat
It's always very convenient to arrive at any destination and already have an idea of where to eat, making it easier to plan during your rest time. That's why this section of the website was created. To give you tips on where to find tasty dishes and snacks of excellent quality, and with great service!
During peak season, most of the establishments listed below are open almost every day, mainly during the day. Only a few are open at night. In the off-season, they commonly only open on weekends. Keep in mind that Praia da Fortaleza is far from the city center, so it's always good to plan ahead.
Delights of Ubatuba (trailer)
Want to eat a delicious portion of shrimp, traditional french fries, or savor a succulent pastel (Brazilian fried pastry)? Then this is the place. Located right on the beach sand, under the care of our dear friends Silvana and Vanderlei, Delícias de Ubatuba serves from a red trailer, very close to home! Just exit through the gate that gives access to the sea and walk a few meters to the left until you reach them. They also serve drinks in general, and delicious cocktails!
Furthermore, right next door is Silvio, Silvana's son, who rents chairs, umbrellas, kayaks, and stand-up paddleboards.
Grandpa Almiro's Kiosk
With an impeccable, beachfront setting, Vovô Almiro has a super varied menu, from appetizers to à la carte dishes. It's one of the oldest restaurants in Fortaleza, and my dear friends Palmira and Jô are always revamping and improving the space. Delicious pastries, typical dishes from the Caiçara cuisine, or a simple rice and beans... It caters to all preferences and palates!

Dona Ana's kiosk and restaurant (or Léko's Bar)
Another option with your feet in the sand, and also one of the most traditional and oldest on Fortaleza Beach . The portions are great and generous. The à la carte dishes are equally delicious, and the menu is super varied! Relaxed and light atmosphere, it's well worth getting together with a group of friends to have a drink and a good laugh. I highly recommend the coconut batida. Wonderful!
Pepper's Bar
Named after its owner and friend Pimenta, they serve a great set meal. They also have appetizers and drinks in general. The place has a pool table for those who enjoy a good game. Highlight: they have a meal delivery service and can deliver your meal right to your door! They are also usually open at night, every day during peak season, and on weekends during the off-season (occasionally on weekdays as well).

Caiçara Village

They are located on Praia Brava da Fortaleza, which is very close by car (less than 10 minutes). During the day they serve at their own location, which is on Estrada da Fortaleza, near the Brava market. During this daytime hours they serve dishes (until 3 pm) and snacks. The highlight is the evening hours, as they deliver very good pizza and excellent artisanal hamburgers.
